Due to dismantling works at the railway overpass in Pragas and Dzirnavu Street, from June 6, there will be changes in the traffic of several trams, buses and trolleybuses
From June 6, dismantling works at the railway overpass in Pragas and Dzirnavu Street are scheduled in the vicinity of the centre of Riga, which will affect the transport vehicle traffic in general. During the dismantling works at the overpass, changes will be made to tram routes No. 1, 2, 5, 7 and 10 and bus routes No. 1, 4, 5, 6, 7, 9, 10, 12, 18 , 23, 25, 26, 32, 39, 43, 54 and 55, as well as trolleybus route No. 13. Changes are scheduled in the traffic of the respective public transport vehicles and in the location of the serviceable stops.

Trams route No. 1 from the final point “Imanta”, will run along the route to the stop “Grēcinieku Street”, further along 11 November Embankment, 13 January Street, Radio Street and further along the route. In this direction, the stop “Prāgas Street” (in Prāgas Street) will be closed, in the belt-line, trams will stop at the stop “13 January Street” (in 13 January Street).
Whereas, from the final point “Jugla”, trams route No. 1. will run along the route to the stop “Stacijas laukums”, further along Radio Street, 13 January Street, 11 November Embankment and further along the route. In this direction, the stop “Centrāltirgus” (in Centrāltirgus Street) will be closed, in the belt-line, trams will stop at the stop “13 January Street” (in 13 January Street). -
For tram route No. 2, during the dismantling works at the overpass, the name of the route will be changed and temporarily it will be “Stacijas laukums - Tapešu Street”. From the final point “Tapešu Street”, trams will run along the route to the stop “Grēcinieku Street”, further along 11 November Embankment, 13 January Street, Aspazijas Boulevard, K. Barona Street, Radio Street until the final point “Stacijas laukums”. In this direction, the stop “Centrāltirgus” (in Centrāltirgus Street) will be closed, in the belt-line, trams will stop at the stop “Stacijas laukums” (in Radio Street) and “13 January Street” (in 13 January Street Street).
Whereas, from the final point “Stacijas laukums,” trams route No. 2 will run along Radio Street, 13 January Street, 11 November Embankment and further along the route. In the trips along the route “Depot No. 3 – Stacijas laukums”, trams will run to the stop “Centrāltirgus”, further along Maskavas Street, 11 November Embankment, 13 January Street, Aspazijas Boulevard, K. Barona Street, Radio Street until the final point “Stacijas laukums”. In the trips along the route “Stacijas laukums – Depot No. 3”, they will run along Radio Street, 13 January Street, 11 November Embankment, Maskavas Street to the tram depot No. 3. - Trams route No. 5 in the trips “Mīlgrāvis – Depot No. 3”, will run along the route to the stop “Nacional opera”, further along Aspazijas Boulevard, 13 January Street, 11 November Embankment, Maskavas Street to the tram depot No. 3. Whereas, in the trips “Iļģuciems – Depot No. 3”, they will run along the route to the stop “Grēcinieku Street”, further along 11 November Embankment, Maskavas Street to the tram depot No. 3.
- Tram route No. 7 from the final point “Ķengarags” (and from Depot No. 3), will run along the route to the stop “Centrāltirgus”, further along Maskavas Street, 11 November Embankment, 13 January Street, Aspazijas Boulevard and further along the route. In this direction, the stop “Prāgas Street” (in Prāgas Street) will be closed, in the belt-line, trams will stop at the stop “13 January Street” (in 13 January Street). Whereas, from the final point “Ausekļa Street”, trams will run along the route to the stop “Nacional opera”, further along Aspazijas Boulevard, 13 January Street, 11 November Embankment, Maskavas Street and further along the route. In this direction, the stop “Centrāltirgus” (in Centrāltirgus Street) will be closed, in the belt-line, trams will stop at the stop “13 January Street” (in 13 January Street).

For tram Route No. 10, during the dismantling works at the overpass, the name of the route will be changed and temporarily it will be “Stacijas laukums - Bišumuiža”. From the final point “Bišumuiža”, trams will run along the route to the stop “Grēcinieku Street”, further along 11 November Embankment, 13 January Street, Aspazijas Boulevard, K. Barona Street, Radio Street until the final point “Stacijas laukums”. In this direction, the stop “Centrāltirgus” (in Centrāltirgus Street) will be closed, in the belt-line, trams will stop at the stop “Stacijas laukums” (in Radio Street) and “13 January Street” (in 13 January Street).
Whereas, from the final point “Stacijas laukums”, trams will run along Radio Street, 13 January Street, 11 November Embankment and further along the route.
In the trips along the route “Depot No. 3 – Stacijas laukums”, trams will run to the stop “Centrāltirgus”, further along Maskavas Street, 11 November Embankment, 13 January Street, Aspazijas Boulevard, K. Barona Street, Radio Street, until the final point “Stacijas laukums”. Whereas, in the trips along the route “Stacijas laukums – Depot No. 3”, trams will run along Radio Street, 13 January Street, 11 November Embankment, Maskavas Street to the tram depot No. 3.
The following changes are scheduled for the bus routes (view route scheme PDF):
- Buses route No. 1, 6, 9 respectively from the final points “Berģuciems”, “Biķeri” and “Mežaparks”, will run along the route to Raiņa Boulevard, further along Raiņa Boulevard, Gogoļa Street, Turgeņeva Street, Abrenes Street and further along the route. From Abrenes Street, they will run along Abrenes Street, Turgeņeva Street, Gogoļa Street, Marijas Street, Merķeļa Street and further along the route. In the direction of the final point “Abrenes Street”, the stop “Centrālā stacija” (in Satekles Street/Marijas Street) will be closed, in the belt-line, buses will stop at the stop “Centrālā stacija” (in Raiņa Boulevard).
- Buses route No. 5 from the final point “Abrenes Street”, will run along Abrenes Street, Turgeņeva Street, Gogoļa Street, Marijas Street, Satekles Street, Dzirnavu Street, Marijas Street and further along the route.

Buses route No. 4, 32, 38, 39, 43, 54 respectively from the final points “Piņķi”, “Dzirciema Street”, “Lāčupe Cemetery”, “Skulte” and “Voleri”, will run along the route to Satekles Street, further along Satekles Street, Lāčplēša Street, Rūsiņa Street. From Abrenes Street, they will run along Abrenes Street, Turgeņeva Street, Gogoļa Street, 13 January Street and further along the route.
In the direction from the final point “Abrenes Street”, the stop “Stacijas laukums” (in Marijas Street) will be closed, in the belt-line, buses will stop at the stop “Centrālā stacija” (in Gogoļa Street). -
Buses route No. 7, 10, 23, 25, 26 and 55 from the final point “Abrenes Street”, will run along Abrenes Street, Turgeņeva Street, Gogoļa Street, 13 January Street and further along the route.
In the direction of the final point “Stīpnieki”, in bus route No. 7, the stop “Stacijas laukums” (in Marijas Street) will be closed, in the direction of the final points “Jaunmārupe”, “Baloži”, “Mārupe” and “Katlakalns”, the stop “Elizabetes Street” (in Satekles Street) will be closed, in the belt-line, buses will stop at the stop “Centrālā stacija” (in Gogoļa Street). -
Buses route No. 12 from the final point “Cooperative society “Ziedonis””, will run along the route to Satekles Street, further along Satekles Street, Lāčplēša Street, Rūsiņa Street. From Abrenes Street, they will run along Abrenes Street, Turgeņeva Street and further along the route.
In the direction of the final point “Cooperative society “Ziedonis””, in bus rote No. 12, the stop “Centrāltirgus” (in Gogoļa Street) will be closed, in the belt-line, buses will stop at the stop “Centrāltirgus” (in Turgeņeva Street). -
Buses route No. 18 from the final point “Dārziņi”, will run along the route to Satekles Street, further along Satekles Street, Lāčplēša Street, Rūsiņa Street. From Abrenes Street, they will run along Abrenes Street, Turgeņeva Street, Elijas Street, Puškina Street, Gogoļa Street and further along the route.
In the direction of the final point “Dārziņi”, in bus route No. 18, the stop “Centrāltirgus” (in Gogoļa Street) will be closed, in the belt-line, buses will stop at the stop “Centrāltirgus” (in Turgeņeva Street).
The following changes are scheduled for the trolleybus routes (view route scheme PDF):
- Trolleybuses route No. 13 from the final point “Centrāltirgus”, will run along Gogoļa Street, Marijas Street, Elizabetes Street, E. Birznieka-Upīša Street and further along the route.
Whereas from the final point “Ieriķu Street”, trolleybuses will run along the route to Dzirnavu Street, further along Dzirnavu Street, Satekles Street, Marijas Street, Gogoļa Street, Turgeņeva Street and further along the route.
The following changes are scheduled for the express bus routes:
- Express bus No. 314 from the final point “Dreiliņi”, will run along the route to Valmieras Street, further along Valmieras Street, Lāčplēša Street, Gogoļa Street and further along the route.
- Express bus No. 333 from the final point “Ziepniekkalns”, will run along the route to Satekles Street, further along Satekles Street, Lāčplēša Street, Rūsiņa Street. From Abrenes Street, it will run along Abrenes Street, Turgeņeva Street, Gogoļa Street, will turn for going in the opposite direction, along Gogoļa Street and further will continue runnig along the route.
- Express bus No. 346 from the final point “Daugavgrīva”, will run along the route to Satekles Street, further along Satekles Street, Lāčplēša Street, Rūsiņa Street. From Abrenes Street, it will run along Abrenes Street, Turgeņeva Street, Gogoļa Street, Marijas Street, Elizabetes Street, E.Birznieka Upīša Street, Dzirnavu Street, Satekles Street, Marijas Street, 13 January Street and further along the route.
